They’re taking away your liberty, little by little. It’s a slippery slope.

If you commit an act of domestic violence, you lose your right to own a gun. Next thing, they’ll be taking everyone’s guns away.

It’s legal for gays to marry. Next thing, children will be allowed to marry goldfish and copulate with dogs.

Climate-change protections will lead to cleaner air standards. Next thing they’ll be coming for your air conditioner, your Bible and your scalp.

People are saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. Next thing they’ll be marching us all into death camps.

Foreigners are coming to America. Next thing, speaking English will be punishable by firing squad.

It’s a slippery slope. And it’s getting slipperier:

Dolphin meat is illegal. Next thing, food will be illegal.

Rape is illegal. Next thing, smiling will be illegal

Arson is illegal. Next thing, matches will be illegal.

Drunk driving is illegal. Next thing, driving will be illegal.

Birth control is legal. Next thing, child sacrifice will be legal.

So the next time you’re beating your wife, and they take away your gun, remember: it’s a slippery slope.
